1. Your best bet is to fly via portugal, In england we pay extortionate departure/arrival taxes because of our diplomatic relations with south america or rather lack of them. I flew Lufthansa return via lisbon 3 years ago and it was cheaper than any other flight and only paid £10 departure tax for europe

3. Cheapest site i found for flights was http://www.dialaflight.com/ saved me a bundle when i flew out to Costa Rica in 2002, New Zealand in 2005 and Nairobi this year.
4. You'll need to contact a travel agent for the cheapest deals. They can beat internet deals anyday. Yes, you need a work visa if you want to work.
5. Try airflights direct site for cheap flight. Don't know about the visa tho. guess it depends on whether you want to be an illegal immigrant worker!!!!!!!! lol
